conversation starter

since the number of quality posts been a lacking as of late i figured id start a small discussion.
do you consider golf a sport? sports are usually games which involve physical skills and activity. this can include running, jumping, kicking, punching, etc. in golf, you swing a club, hit the ball, then drive over to hit it again. no running. no jumping, kicking, punching, or etc. so what say you, game or activity or sport?

sport - noun - 1. Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.

Golf isn't really a "physical" activity (if you don't count swinging the club and hitting the ball).

However, it has been deemed a sport for so long that I'm convinced.

Golf is a sport if you are an exceedingly tall asian girl, who for some reason sucks at golf but is still making headlines everywhere, maybe because she's a teen, maybe because she's a woman, maybe because she's asian!

Probably because golf has nothing better to talk about...

I wouldn't mind playing golf though...Seeing as I wouldn't need to do much.
