The Horror has been switched...to the MAX.

I bought Siren for 2000 En! What a deal. And it's the old one, not the greatest hits type one. I was thinking about getting a Hori Joystick...It's 50 bucks. Should I get it?

This shit was placed in 1990 for some reason...

you wanted pictures?

then pictures you shall get.

Small Divisible Letters.

So for the last two days I've been hanging out with that guy who runs that insertcredit.com site (and Large Prime Numbers.) Went through the parts of Akihabara that Toru and Wyeth didn't want to go to when we were down there, (read: the good part of it.) Went to these places with drink bars on both days and did that for like 2-3 hours on each one, talked about gaming and chinese people, and angry koreans, and SWIII and writing, and crazy writing concepts, etc etc... Today, we went to this Bangladesh(ey) Curry place, where curry that is supposedly spicy is actually spicy. The owner thought I was Bangladesh(ian?) because umm... not sure why, but he did. So yeah, it was pretty cool, heard some cool stories and such, good way to burn two days.

And it helped me reinforce the fact that Insert Credit started with the best of intentions, although those forums needed help.

I didn't take any pictures, I'm not prone to anymore, I mean, unless someone wants pictures of something. Like me doing the peace sign with random salary men and school girls...but that's boring, so boring. Ah and I was shown this cool phone with a 4 MP camera. That was l33t.

So I still have to buy Siren. Going to buy that Kirby game when I get back into the States. So yeah, someone else post some pictures damnit. Me want pictures. Me want pictures!!

And holy shit, some people supposedly think I'm an asshole, or something, how strange. I will get down to the bottom of this farce faced facade of a fallacy about me!

  • Not enough pockets to hold stuff...may need to start carrying a bag.

Edit:

  • Toru and Wyeth may go the way of the Beatles...

  • We went to Ginza Yamaha Store and saw the crazy instrument variety the other day.
  • Wyeth and I met up with Maki and we played some games, and went to Yokohama, we also sang Karaoke and stuffers.
  • It is supposed to rain today, I hope it does, it is hot as f*ck. Or if you guys are cool guys, and I'm sure some of you are, it's hot as fcuk.
  • Bought some clothes....tres cool.

Black DS = Secksy

As you can see, Toru (and I) have bought NGPCs and taped them together to make rip-off DS systems. That or we both bought them. I have no game yet though, so I am a sad panda.

Fukui-san? Yes it seems the Iron Chef...

For the last three days we have been in Fukui, and I bring you tidings of random Fukui goodness. Our original quest was to spread the hateful language called English, or in this instance, Engrish; this is how Fukuithon 2k5 began!1

On the first day we were given rest across the street from the train terminal at a place called...Terminal Hotel Fukui (not very original, and very foreboding) which was pretty deserted. The room we stayed in somehow had three beds where three beds should never be. And it seemed like certain death traps were set to get rid of us. They carefully place the coffee pot over the blow dryer, a nice trick, but we did not fall for it! Toru also found we only had three channels on the TV, normal news, guy on ground, and porn. This was later noted to be the Pay channels, labeled clearly in English, yet unnoticed by Toru at the time...or was it?!

Anyway, after checking into Terminal Hotel, we went on the Engrish expedition. We were greeted by someone who knew Toru since wee-times, and she showed us to our students.

We had three classes that day (night actually) but for the sake of space, I'll just post one class. In between the second and last class, English teacher lady made us curry, it was the shiz. The last class was actually just two kids, one of them, えり, is going to Hawaii (OMG so cool that place!) and so is her brother Yusuke, but more on that later. (The other played the trumpet, so she was equally cool, if not cooler.) After class we went back to THF and watched Hollow Man, that movie is pretty awful.

The next day was one of the coolest on the trip so far, as it was like an all-expense paid Fukui nonstop extravaganza (turbo edition.) We met up with 5 of English Teacher Lady's high school students and they took us around doing mindless things. First we ate lunch, at a place that boasted being a Chinese Restaurant...which was a lie as it only had Vietnamese and variations of Japanese food, no pigs on skewers or whole chickens with heads included. Oh yeah, the names, りょう, ゆすけ (you remember his sister, up in paragraph 3 right?), みどり, ゆきえ (ゆきへ?), and りさ. Anyway, with our locals, we went to the bowling alley and bowled two games --let it be stated that it was free and that may be the only way to make me bowl-- and we sucked up the place quite a bit.

Let's aside comment*
During the Fukui part of the trip I was given many names, as I will list here. Jamy, Jamie, Jeerrrmy, JaRemy, Jahmy, and Handsome. The last one was by Toru, I think. Wyeth won over the name competition with, Wyas, Yes, Wyatt, White, Wath, Weth, Wyet, and every other combination known to man, Oh yes, and Wyeth is very *cool* as English Teacher Lady Sensei says. That is all...Back to the show.

After that, we played some arcade games, Taiko Drum, then Daytona in which I schooled ゆすけ proper, but that's because he was in automatic, and didn't play it before, I think. He got his revenge in Air Hockey though, as he and Toru took on I and the W man. Then we all played this K-1 game where you kick this bag and it judges your score. Wyert missed and kicked the stand, so he got a 29 or something like that (the high score was 400+) then りょう left. Tres Junk. We played more games, then got tired out and got ice-cream. Well, I didn't, I had earlier in the day, (did I mention we went to crazy Suicide Japanese Sea?) and we also had some "delicious sticks." After a bunch of walking around we went to this karaoke place. Yeah, bad idea. ゆすけ, who owns at singing, as well as the rest of the Fukuians sang some songs, then Wyasz, Toru and I did "Fly me to the Moon." It was later reported, some kittens in the nearby area died. Here is us belting out noises that sound kind of like Bruce Lee movies...
Yeah, it was pretty bad...Anyway, after that, they sang more, and we finished it with Toru and I singing L-O-V-E which was equally bad, with some pretty off-key notes especially at the end. After this we took pictures and りさ left the fray. This is one of said pictures:
We went and ate dinner with ETL and her friends, and her friends children, and the remaining High School Fukuians, it was noisy. We taught the kids stupid American tricks, like paper football and stuff, then we went to see more Hotarus there were more this time, but an electric wire prevented us from going on, damn those farmers and their ingenious 2 dimensional traps! Here are some pictures of the kids that went:

Today we ate lunch out, and just cruised around getting clothes (thanks to Sanako sensei Teacher Lady.) It was a pretty relaxed day after the craziness of the last.

So we got back here...and to leave, I will distract you with a picture of Wyatt (Earp?)

opposites

i just thought id share this 1337 school test.
not sure on the reality of it but its good for a laugh or two. or three. possibly even four. but no more than five.
i wish i was that smart back in what, fourth or fifth grade?

about sushi

dont trust sushi from star market. it had been a while sinc ei had sushi and i was looking for something to eat. nothing too filling so i thought of sushi since there had been all this japan talk as of late. so i got some at star market and then ate it of course. seemed alright at the time. this was around 3:00 or so i think. so then around midnight i started feeling cold. i know it wasnt cold but i was still feeling it. and then some migranes kicked in. what followed was a very miserable night. luckily i was fine in the morning. but i have to say, curse you star market sushi!

*Akihabara* Famous Electric City Playground: Clean Edition

I woke up today, and stood up really fast...then heard a crack.

Yeah, I stepped on some glasses...fun. I bent them back into place though, those must be some quality specks.

We went to Akihabara today. Skahoo! There was a game store between each normal electronic store, but I didn't get anything yet. I'm sure there is some cheaper stuff somewhere. First stop there was at "Gamers" some place with plenty of anime characters who looked too young for the clothes they were in. It had a pretty nice selection of games though, as well as guides (a whole floor of each) and anime/dvds/tvstuffs.

There was 8 floors of stuff, but it was kind of expensive. Then I insisted we go to Club Sega (I referred to it as Sega Crub as I'm losing my ability to speak English.) Third floor had some crazy Initial D arcade racer, similar to the one at Brian's, only these guys owned. They drifted around everything, and used the crashing/physics to get around corners faster. Each time this guy turned I thought he would crash, but he never did. And there were like 6 of these guys like this, all racing each other. It was crazy. Went upstairs to the fighting area, which, I believed for some time, was my cup of tea. Watching them play GGXX double sharp (or whatever incarnation it was) made me realize how out of my league I was. They went apeshit on the computer, which was no competition at all, as the real challenge was playing others. I saw a couple infinite combos, trap/crossover attacks and stuff that were pretty crazy. It's 100 yen per game so I decided to hold out for now. No one was playing CVS which is actually really unbalanced, so I could understand. SFII was being played, as well as III, I saw Rumble Fish II which I wanted to play for a long while but never got the chance to.

Whoa, lots of gaming ranting, better stop...

Later in the day I was reunited (and it feels so good) with my love...

Dr. Pepper, you make the world taste better.

Then we left, but not without getting something from Okamura-Obaa-san

She also treated us to living quarters and food, as well as lunch. Too cool, that lady.

And here are some random pictures...

He will get down to the bottom of your case, with his heart of gold.

So heterosexual, that pose. I expect to see crudely editted T. the Poets or just mocking jpgs done in paint, very soon.

We start our journey to trying to teach other people to speak English tomorrow. It will be an endeavour filled with "shizzles" and "nizzles" I assure you. I probably won't post for like...3 days or so, maybe more. So yeah, someone else post random shit. And try to go look up my username for my other account, maybe I have it wrong.

Random Photo Dump

So we went to Hiroshima yesterday. Then we went and caught frogs too. I caught a salamander (read "actually newt") and that was about it for yesterday.

Today we went Universal Studios Japan, Toru's neighbors gave us tickets, and it's pretty much Universal Studios US but with Japanese talking stuff. Didn't buy anything there (then again, other than food, I've bought only two things) it was really expensive. We went on a bunch of things, but nothing was really *wow* There was this super parade happy happy celebration hour, or something, where various characters came out with creepy dancers. The girl dancers weren't exactly hot fob chicks, but whatchagonnado? The group of dancers for Shrek were like, chinese people. So yeah... That's about it. I'm getting a little use to this seafood thing. I mean, I don't cringe when tako or something is mentioned...And now as the title says, random photo dump:

Lucky Number!! Popping up a lot here.

Soru? Taru? Wasaru?

Blind Pimp Mice

Futile attempt at new sport: Urban Bug Hunting

Listen to some emo and be cool.

Cookie monster ala X-Pac

Trumpet Robot? Nope, need reservations...

Ernie was free, however. These kids had these cool trumpet toys, but I couldn't find the seller.

He's HERE!

Quality sucks because I converted in paint, I need Photoshop. :( Anyway, if it is too long, then someone can edit it and make more pictures in a row.

Shocker! We are supposedly going to うえ's Grandma's house tomorrow and staying there for a night. Won't be back here for like 5 days or something. Oh well.

innocent?

first O.J. and now this? what is wrong with the legal system?

PSP and Twisted Metal Anyone?

any of you have a psp and twisted metal? i just picked twisted metal up today and it has wireless internet play. so what im getting at is if you guys had a copy of the game, we could twist some metal online.

Real Zombies

check out this video. its pretty crazy. resident evil meets punkd meets that hypnotist guy from project grad. usually id say FAKE but after project grad im not so sure. what do you guys think?

No Picture Update.

We went to Uniqlo today, some crazy clothes place with cheap engrish shirts. I bought two, I'll buy more stuff in Tokyo. We then went to a giant 100 yen store with all kinds of stuff and bought some bug catching gear. Then we went around looking for a forest, in vain. Although we did find a beware of snakes sign. Wyeth climbed a wall and then we lost him for 15 minutes, but whatcha gonna do? We got icecream when we got back to the house, you can buy them in these cool little six packs, it's tres cool. I got sherbert and a caramel. Yumz0rz. Tonight we went and saw fireflies. They were very magic-based I assume. As all things that can emit light must be either magic, or some kind of crazy power-endowed demigod.

So yeah, no pictures, too lazy this time. Maybe I'll edit and add some later.

If someone can check for me, try to find out why I can't log into my other account, like look through the english FAQs or a message board. I'd put all this crap on my normal one, but I can't reach it. I'll transfer all of them later when I get back.

So yeah...that's about it. Hiroshima tomorrow.

is that a curry house game? i bet it stars yasu.

Kyoto and Joshin.

We went around Kyoto today. It was pretty fun, we went to this place with an old golden building and kids on a fieldtrip and free samples of green tea snacks...and good luck stuff, but I got a japanese one instead of an english one because I don't like being able to read.

After that we went to some electronics place called Joshin, it had a bunch of PS2 games, and two stood out in particular. The Capcom vs Namco one that they just had out, and this other one...

They also had that Siren game, but I'm sure I can find it cheaper in Tokyo somewhere...So yeah, you other people can post more. So I can feel left out of stuff.

アンパンマン

Holy crap, I wrote this whole thing then hit the wrong button...damn G! So yeah, we went to this expo thing today, it took a 3 hour trip, but it was pretty interesting. We didn't do too much, I would've done more but I got a stomach ache from a combination of eating curry too fast and running. So yeah, didn't feel too hot. There was the trumpet playing robot at the Toyota building, but you need tickets to get in, which we didn't have, so we couldn't go, major let down!!11~ Wyeth got a very tiny trucker hat.

アンパンマン seemed to follow us around at the Expo and everywhere else! Toru had an affinity for him, as seen in the pictures. He and Wyeth kung-fu bumper-car battled on the roof of a department store. So yeah. Anyway, pictures as follows:

Halo: The Movie

i dont know if you guys have heard (especially those of you in the land of the rising sun), but there is going to be a halo movie now. i cant help but think this is a bad idea. sure the game is good, but what made the game so good? i say it wasnt the aliens ripoff storyline. i just dont think two hours of aliens with cheesy one liners is a very good idea. halo was popular for its multiplayer. not the story. i personally found the story to be boring. the entire campaign mode was boring and repetitive. what do you guys think?

Thursday, June 09, 2005

We ate a lot today...crazy zany amounts of food. We went to a McDonalds for lunch, and even in Japan it`s cheaper! See:

Dinner we went to this place where everything is on skewers, don`t really know the exact term, but yeah, it was a lot of food. See, it just keeps coming until you've had 40 of them, I got to about 25-30 when I kicked it, it was way too much. I was pretty amazed I ate that much though, seeing as a lot of it was seafood. Would've eaten more but the chef took away my water, he's a water nazi! Yeah, it was cool, Toru's grandparents, being the cool cats they are were the ones who took them. They are cool to the max.

To the left is my fish with all the sticks I had after eating, and to the right is Wyeth's...it was a lot.

Some other 7 afficionado was seen!

Oh and Wyeth almost won a NintendoDS he was a point away on this game. After that, Toru tried and got a single point like 5 times in a row. They have to work in tandem I
tells yah.
